We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated cadet journalist to join our rural news division in Shepparton. The role is largely with the Country News but will include other rural publications.Applicants should possess keen interest in issues affecting regional communities. The cadet journalist will be expected to cover a range of agricultural as well as general news, write feature articles and breaking news stories. They will be asked to prepare content for online publication, take photographs and produce video and they will be proficient in the use of social media.Candidates must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, sound computer knowledge, the ability to build networks quickly and the confidence to develop their own stories.
