The Wiggles bringing big show to Shepparton
One of the most popular musical acts to ever play in Shepparton is making a return - The Wiggles are coming back to town.
By Fiona BroomOne of the most popular musical acts to ever play in Shepparton is making a return.
The Wiggles have announced they will be playing three shows at Eastbank Centre in March, with a possible fourth if ticket sales go well.
The tour will celebrate the return of the original yellow Wiggle Greg Page, who controversially announced his return to the group last month after a five-year hiatus.
Eastbank marketing manager Aishe Besim said the group's three shows last year were some of the biggest ever held at the venue.
''The phones and the website went down, which was an indication of the volume of sales,'' Ms Besim said.
''It will be a very big event for Shepparton.
''We get people from different areas. Some people like to come to regional shows because it's more intimate. You can actually see them and get a good view no matter where you sit.''
The Wiggles are taking their show on the road around Australia, including several regional Victorian venues.
Now celebrating more than 20 years performing to children around the globe, The Wiggles will be performing hits such as Hot Potato, Fruit Salad, Rock A Bye Your Bear and Toot Too Chugga Chugga and more.
Tickets go on sale February 14. Tickets are $30 per person, children under 18 months are free.
The Wiggles have confirmed one show on March 27 and two on March 28 at Eastbank Centre, Shepparton.
