The David Aiken-trained and driven My High Expectations charging to a track-record-breaking win in last Friday's Cobram Trotters Cup.

The pace was certainly on at last Friday’s Cobram Cup meeting with track records falling in both feature events, the Cobram Pacing Cup and the Cobram Trotters Cup.

The David Aiken-trained and driven trotter My High Expectations obliterated the trotters track record of 2.03.3 another Aiken trained horse, Im Dejazzman, set in winning the 2011 cup.

In the Cobram Pacing Cup, the Tim Butt-trained and John Caldow-driven Pass Them By took 0.2 seconds off the track record Mister Zion set in 2009 with his 1.59.7 mile rate.

Both records were established over the searching 2678m trip.

The record-breaking wins has trots followers again debating whether Cobram is the fastest track in the state.

There are a few other contenders for this title, including Shepparton, Ballarat and Bendigo, but mostof those who make a living punting on the sport usually plump for Hamilton whenever this debate arises.
