The tribunal case for Shepparton United midfielder Joey Perkovic is likely to be set for next week.
Perković was reported for striking both Kyabram’s Sam Sheldon and Nick Coulstock in Sunday’s Goulburn Valley Football League grand final, which the Bombers won, and was not offered a set penalty.
League general manager Keith Wellman hoped the hearing for the two charges would be next week, but it would depend on the availability of the persons involved now the season was concluded.
The investigation into a verbal altercation between Perkovic and ex-AFL player Sheldon in the second semi-final is also continuing and Wellman expected investigation officer Gary Wilson to report his findings early next week.
Perkovic’s five-match suspension in July for verbally abusing a Goulburn Valley Football League independent tribunal member took his career tally to 14 games.
He will be deregistered if he receives a two-week suspension or more.
