Promising chaser Bejay The Dejay continues to find the right notes on the greyhound scene as evidenced by his slick victory at Shepparton on Monday night.

The speedy son of El Grand Senor gave his legion of followers few worries as the $1.60 favourite when he strolled away with The News Grade 5 Dash (390m).

Bejay The Dejay, trained by Brooke Ennis at Lara, has now won five of his eight starts and surely the bright lights of the city beckon following his slick 22.10sec run.

He completed a good night at the track for Ennis, who earlier won the CKH Painting Mixed 4/5 with the talented Universal Size, a nine-time winner from 17 starts, in a scorching 22.03 effort.

Finley chaser Blue Tartan made it consecutive wins at Shepparton for Megan-Lee Mason when he staved off Lovely Lizzie, with the obvious quinella hope to Blue Tartan, Haggis Lad, running third in the Maish Gupta Accountants Grade 5 (390m).

Harston trainer Tony Dunstan was smiling as experienced customer All In Ky returned to winning ways in the Byers Electrical Mixed 4/5 (450m), while the Messina camp from Golden Square collected a double.

Dallas trained Swanart to victory in the third race, with Robyn claiming the lucrative Twin Code Challenge with Cette For Speed.

The win saw Cette For Speed’s connections take home not only the $1650 first prize, but a $1000 bonus for being GOBIS qualified.
