It was a welcome relief from the warmer weather and stroke rounds for the 15 women who competed in the stableford round on Saturday.

The best score of the day was 35 points and this was enough to win both B- and C- grade, with Wendy Hutton (20) and Dilva Grattan (31) the respective winners of those two grades.

The A-grade winner was Dale Stuart (seven) with 34 points on a countback from Jane Fletcher.

The extra competition of the best nine out score went to a four-way countback with Grattan the eventual winner. The balls on the day went to Hutton, Grattan, Tennant and Tania Zentveld.Nagambie

Special thanks to Trevor and Judi Redfern, Bill Leviston, Evelyn Shiels and Ronda Richards for all their work on Sunday.

Hope to see Annette Mills and Maureen King back in a short time from their injuries and Evelyn recovered from her operation, and we wish Violet improved health.

Saturday saw a smaller field of players for a stableford round in windy conditions.

Outright winner for the day was B. Cassar with 40 points including a great three for five eagle, earning him the eagle’s nest of golf balls.

This week’s comp is a stroke round/monthly medal with W. LeCerf in the office and W. Leviston in the bar.

Thanks go to the ladies for the catering and to Bill and Trevor for sending off the playing groups and manning the bar.
