The Kyabram Junior Football Group recently held its annual general meeting in which some changes to the committee and coaches were made.

Greg Ross takes over from Rod O’Neill as president, with O’Neill moving into the vice-presidency role in place of Peter Holman.

Simone Cerrone has stepped down as secretary with Jodie Schumann taking over this position.

Michelle Fitzgerald continues her role as treasurer.

New president Greg Ross paid tribute to the previous executive.

‘‘They had fantastic vision in their planning of resources and finances over the past few years. Every team has new jumpers and has improved its resources to assist the coaches with their drill work and assist with player safety,’’ he said.

‘‘This took a lot of hard work from the committee and also support from sponsors, parent helpers, schools and the club’s senior football netball team.

‘‘The executive is lucky to have Rod and Simone still involved in the committee to guide us in our new roles.’’

Coaching appointments for the coming season are:

Under-16 Div 1: Russell Barrett and Rod O’Neill (joint position)

Under-16 Div 2: Stuart Joyce

Under-14: John D’Angelo

Under-14: Scott McDonald

Under-12: Peter Ryan

Under-12: Russell Jarrett

Under-16s training will start next week, Wednesday, February 15, at the Kyabram recreation reserve starting at 4.30pm. Training will be every Wednesday night in February and in March it will change to Tuesday and Friday nights. The under-16s season kicks off on Sunday, April 15.

This year there will only be one registration night. It will be also be held on Wednesday, February 15, from 4.30pm. All players intending to play under-16s this year will need to register on this night as the club needs to confirm team numbers to the Shepparton and District Junior Football League.

If you are unable to attend on this night but intend to play under-16s, call Simone on 58546262 or 0409170678 before registration night so your registration will be accepted.

On registration night the club will accept all registrations. If at the end of the night there are 50 or more registrations, no late registrations will be accepted.

Payment of fees on this night would be appreciated. The fees for under-16s are $90.
