Moama will be looking to return to the winner’s list when it travels to Bamawm to face Bamawm-Lockington United in round six of the Goulburn Murray Cricket season tomorrow.

The visiting batsmen will be particularly hopeful of making up for last round’s collapse, with the four top-order batsmen registering a combined 16 runs in their loss to Echuca.

But there is nothing wrong with Moama’s bowlers, with Ralph Siede’s eight wickets in the past two rounds and Kirk Teasdale’s six a key factor in the visitors’ solid early-season form.

Moama captain Cam Parker said his side would learn from its mistakes against Echuca and capitalise against a decent side in BLU.

‘‘Hopefully we’ll get some good practice into our batsmen and bowlers and get them used to the two-day for next year,’’ he said.

Parker said tomorrow presented an opportunity for those who failed against Echuca to justify their spot in the side.

‘‘The bowlers put us in a good position to win the game (last round), but unfortunately the batsmen didn’t do enough to support the bowling attack,’’ he said.

Young gun Alistair McCann will come into the side for Graeme Mitchell, while two more changes are likely.

The visitors will come up against a BLU outfit which is intent on continuing its winning form after a positive 80-run win against Cooma last week.

Greg Pearse was clearly the man of the match after making 58 runs and taking 4/20 from 12 overs.

Captain Ben Docking was also promising with bat and ball, while Tom Paganoni went wicketless last week but remains in the top-10 wicket-takers for GMC.

Last season BLU took the honours in the two sides’ one-day encounter with a 13-run win, but Moama had the last laugh with a five-wicket win in the two-day match, which included an unbeaten 106 by Teasdale.

Docking said the majority of tomorrow’s side featured in that victory against Moama and had to play its best cricket to achieve the same feat again.

‘‘Moama are a very good side and if we dish up anything below our best we’ll pay for it,’’ he said.

‘‘We’ll try to improve on last week where we bowled really well and keep it very consistent and keep the pressure up in the field throughout the day, or they’ll make us pay.’’
