Loddon Mallee Lightning’s under 15 girls’ team was the only side to take the points at Moama on the weekend.
Loddon Mallee Lightning’s under 15 girls’ team was the only winner from the seven sides which took on the North West Wanderers in round five of the Victorian Champions League at Moama’s Jack Eddy Oval on Sunday.
The team, which featured Tongala’s Kylie Thompson, won 6-1 to remain second on the ladder.
The shock of the round was the 2-1 upset suffered by the under 17 girls’ side, which dropped to second on the ladder behind its undefeated rival the North East Diamonds.
All teams will travel to the club’s next home base in Swan Hill on Sunday to host the Western Wolves.
Results: under 17 boys lost 1-6; under 17 girls lost 1-2; under 15 boys lost 0-3; under 15 girls won 6-1; under 14 boys lost 2-3; under 13 boys lost 1-4; under 13 girls lost 2-6.
