Girls to pull on footy jumpers
Echuca Junior Football Club is backing an under 18 girls football team in this year's Shepparton and District Junior Football League.
District girls are being urged to pull on the football jumper this season as Shepparton and District Junior Football League adopts an Under 18s Youth Girls Football League.
Echuca Junior Football Club is one of six clubs which has already given support to the invitivaite.
All matches will be played on Sunday afternoon during the season, with David Pearson as coach.
Pearson has a vast coaching and playing experience and the club is keen to hear from parents who would like to support the initiative.
Administrative and support staff will be needed during the season and anybody interested should contact Pearson.
All interested girls should attend a come and try night at Victoria Park on Tuesday, February 26, at 5pm.
