Expert class records fall
Four records fell on the second day of the Southern 80, with Wilberforce boat Stinga providing the biggest result in the 16-19 boys expert class.
Featuring world junior champion Jack Houston skiing alongside Ben Hackett, with Greg Houston and Kevin Boylan up front, Stinga blitzed the six-year class record by more than a minute.
In finishing the course in 32:09, Stinga also recorded the third-fastest result for the Southern 80, only finishing behind Hellrazor and The Syndicate.
More Mojo broke a nine year record in the 5.2 and 6 litre expert class with V8 Supercar driver Rick Kelly steering his team of observer John Kelly and skiers Todd Kelly and Jamie Oliver into the history books.
More Mojo completed the course in a time of 38:25, breaking the previous record by a massive 1:43.
The Pest team of Chris, Kyle and Ashley jun. Mansfield and Andrew Cartledge broke the seven-year-old stock 6 litre expert record by 19 seconds, in a time of 38:04, while Old Mate, comprising Wayne Watson, Daniel De Battista, Billy Pickles and Mattew Cozens took 10 seconds off the previous 60mph expert record with a time of 49:14.
