Cricket board to hold hearing over incident
Goulburn Murray Cricket board will hold a hearing tonight following an incident on the weekend after the Moama and Fire Brigade match.
By Geordie CowanThe Goulburn Murray Cricket board will hold a hearing today concerning an incident involving Moama co-coach Paul Jacobs and cricket umpire Lance Carrington on Saturday.
The Riv understands Jacobs approached Carrington and an altercation ensued.
‘‘The association is aware of the incident and we have scheduled a meeting with representatives from Fire Brigade and Moama on Wednesday evening at 6pm,’’ GMC vice-president Colin Price said.
‘‘We will look at what happened and decide what course to pursue.
‘‘The board, being aware that something happened under the auspices of our association, it is not something we would like to see replicated.
