Adrian Beer lit up Echuca College with a blistering D grade innings against Cooma on Saturday.

The Echuca opener belted 13 boundaries and nine sixes on his way to a score of 149, with the team scoring 4/256 from 35 overs.

The man who dismissed him, Paul Viney, also recorded superb figures given the nature of the innings, to claim 1/11 from his seven overs.

In reply, Cooma did well to bat out its overs and finish on 9/93, with Cameron Kervin taking 4/3 and Damian Morgan-Bulled 3/12.

■Stanhope eased to a nine-wicket win against Girgarre, chasing down the 126-run total in less than 17 overs.

Earlier, Braeden Stokes took 4/21 to help dismiss Girgarre, before Stokes (41 not out), Brendan Densley (47) and Simon Harrison (39) scored the winning runs.

■The final match saw Tongala register a comprehensive win against Rochester Tigers.

The Blues averaged close to nine runs an over as they scored 3/305 from the 35 overs, with Jeremy Smith (79 not out), Laurie Maguire (76 retired) and Neil Sanders (50) among the runs.

In reply, the Tigers were bowled out for 58, with wickets shared.

Under 16s

In the under 16s, Josh Platt retired on 43 not out as Moama White made 7/161 against Tongala, while Ray Christy took 2/13.

■Cooma-Girgarre scored 6/105 from its 40 overs against Moama Black, with Tannar Cerrone top scoring with 38. Joel Murphy took 2/15 from his eight overs.

■Colbinabbin made 161 against BLU, led by Braydon Kerlin (30), Daniel Hill (28) and Liam Vale (27). Jeremy Felmingham claimed 3/27, while Josh Felmingham and James McPhee each took two wickets.

■Echuca South scored 104 against Echuca, with Cody Johns-Willett registering 28 runs. James Hancock and Peter Warman claimed two scalps each.

■Rochester Tigers are on top in their battle with Rochester United, sitting on 2/39 after bowling United out for 74.

Under 14s

The under 14s played 25-over one-day games after the first day’s play was cancelled due to heat the week before.

Rochester Tigers and Cooma-Girgarre played out a tie after each finished on 56 runs.

Cooma-Girgarre’s Brad Hockey was the highest scorer of the match with 16.

■Led by Jake Gascoyne (30 retired), Tom Cooper (30 retired) and Josh Dillon (28 not out), Fire Brigade defeated Echuca South after scoring 4/147, with Kayden Jeffreys taking 2/3.

In reply, South made 7/100 with Clayton Thompson (32 retired) the top scorer. Whitney Jones took 2/4.

■Alec Maguire (18 retired) and Bailey Cox (20 retired) helped Tongala score 7/97 as it defeated Stanhope-Rushworth with 9/74. Jorge Maxwell made 16 for the home side.

■Moama Black scored 2/126 against BLU, with Harry Ripon (21 retired), Jack Russell (22 retired) and Alistair McCann (20 retired) top scoring. No score was registered for BLU.
