Echuca’s Toby Taylor has continued his good run on two wheels after winning the open Loddon Mallee Region League scooter series.
Despite only competing in three of the four events at Kerang, Swan Hill, Rochester and Castlemaine in the past four weeks, Taylor comfortably won the overall series and was also crowned the league’s best and fairest.
‘‘I’m very happy to be the overall winner of our region,’’ he said.
It is the first time he has taken part in the series, which is run by the YMCA, with Taylor winning the events at Kerang, Rochester and Castlemaine.
Receiving a scooter as a prize for each win, Taylor gave the scooters away to children in the crowd.
‘‘I was in it to win it, not for the prizes,’’ he said.
A 12 and under and 16 and under competition was also held through the series.
