Former Australian Opals assistant coach Peter Lonergan held a shooting clinic at Echuca basketball stadium yesterday.

Lonergan put about 20 participants through their paces, with a mixture of girls and boys from under 12 to under 18 level honing their ball-handling and shooting skills.

The shooting specialist camps, supported by Basketball Victoria Country, will visit Wangaratta, Maryborough and Bellarine next week with Wallan and Warragul already benefiting from Lonergan’s tuition on Monday and Tuesday.

Keen basketballers from Swan Hill, Yarrawonga and Bendigo attended yesterday’s clinic.
