Former Moama resident George Bazeley has been representing Australia at the hockey World League Finals.
The Kookaburras goalkeeper has been splitting halves with Western Australian Tyler Lovell at the tournament.
The team finished top of its pool and will now play India in the quarter-finals tonight.
Australia won its first match against Belgium 3-2, before falling to the Netherlands 1-0 but then bounced back to thrash Argentina 6-1.
Bazeley has only conceded one goal during his time on the pitch. He is one of two Victorians in the 18-man squad.
