‘Move It In Deni’ for local runners

Experienced runners, casual joggers, walkers and even mothers and their kids are being encouraged to take part.
A change of structure this year will see a 5.7km course, a 1.6km train chase for the kids and a fast paced Deni Dash.
The 5.7km course will see competitors start at the Cressy St pedestrian crossing before circling Waring Gardens and heading down through the Island Sanctuary.
Runners will complete a loop in the Regional Park and return to Cressy St.
Prizes will be given out for winners and place getters in both junior and senior categories with random number and finish time prizes also up for grabs.
Local sporting clubs are being encouraged to enter their fastest runners to take each other on in the Deni Dash.
The inaugural 800m race will take place on the streets around Waring Gardens with both male and female winners earning $100 towards their respective clubs.
The 1.6km Kids Rotary Train Chase will continue its successful journey with participants receiving a bag of treats on their arrival at the finish line.
Parents are encouraged to participate with children free of charge in the Train Chase.
The 5.7km Move It In Deni Fun Run will begin at 8.30am, while the Deni Dash competitors will rip around Waring Gardens at 9.15am.
The Train Chase will commence at 9.30am.
Entry forms will be available from Motiv8 Health & Fitness, Rockets Sportspower and the Move It In Deni facebook page.
Registrations will also be taken at the Soroptimists Booth outside Target on Saturday mornings during March.
