Goorambat Devenish Cricket Club goes pink for a good cause

GDCC will host a Pink Stumps Day this Sunday.

Goorambat Devenish Cricket Club is inviting people to come and take part in its Pink Stumps Day this Sunday, in support of the McGrath Foundation.

The club is organising raffles and collection tins, and is asking spectators to wear pink on the day.

There will be a brunch at 11am, while the action on the ground kicks off at noon.

All proceeds raised on the day will go to the McGrath Foundation to place McGrath Breast Care Nurses in communities across the country.

For taking part, the club has received a Pink Stumps Day kit valued at more than $500, which included two sets of pink stumps, six pink training balls, a pair of pink keeping pads, 15 McGrath Foundation/Vodaphone caps as well as badges, temporary tattoos and a kit bag.

They’re also in with a chance to win a visit from an Australian cricket legend, and if they raise the most money, will win a signed bat from the Australian team.
