Kyabram Bowls Club's greens have been vandalised twice in four days.December 4, 2013 4:32am
Kyabram Bowls Club secretary Jennifer Cole and greenkeeper Les Grills were disappointed to find another instance of vandalism on the club's greens yesterday morning. It is the second time in four days that club members have arrived on the morning of a match day only to find someone has ridden across the green leaving tracks and dents in the surface.
Twice in the past four days Kyabram Bowls Club members have arrived at the club to find someone has been riding a bicycle or scooter across the green.
The first incident happened sometime Friday night and the second on Monday night.
The club phoned Kyabram police after the second occurrence and footage from a security camera has been provided to help police identify the culprit/s.
Club secretary Jennifer Cole said more damage had been caused on the second occasion.
‘‘We didn’t report the first incident, but now it’s happened twice in quick succession, we called the police and they came straight down,’’ she said.
The damage has caused extra work for greenkeeper Les Grills.
‘‘It looks as though a scooter has been ridden and bounced across part of the green,’’ he said.
