Three medals and world aims
Kyabram athlete Emily Lawson has returned with three medals after competing at the 2013 All Schools Athletics Championships.
Emily, 17, finished third in the girls individual Under-18 400
She also won a silver medal by running the 400
Emily previously competed in the All Schools Championships in 2011 and 2012 when she won one gold and one bronze medal in relay events.
Her aim now is to qualify to run at next year’s World Junior Championships.
To do this she will need to take 0.38 seconds off her best 200
Emily has three months to achieve the qualifying time and with Victorian athletes normally peaking in Feb or March, due to the season and weather, it’s certainly a possibility.
