Kyabram and District Football Netball League to make early start

Kyabram and District Football Netball League matches begin this weekend, ahead of other local leagues.

Ready to get it on. Paul Burnett's Lancaster and Jake Lloyd's Rushworth launch their seasons with a night game this Saturday at Kyabram Recreation Reserve.

Kyabram and District Football Netball League gets a jump on other local leagues with four of the six games being brought forward from Easter weekend (round three) to start the season on Saturday.

The league gave clubs this option so they could have Easter off.

Saturday night Lancaster is hosting Rushworth at Kyabram, which is expected to draw a huge crowd.

Netball games start at noon and football at 3pm with the under 18’s. Reserves are at 5pm and the Senior game at 7pm.

A 10-year reunion for the Lancaster 2004 under-18’s premiership team that defeated Rushworth that year will also be celebrated.
