David Cartwright is preparing for a two-pronged Australian Open bowls attack in Melbourne starting Sunday.
The Kyabram bowler will contest the singles on Sunday at Darebin International Sports Centre and will partner with clubmates Darren Boswood, Mervyn Harvey and Russell Locke in the fours on Tuesday.
With a six figure prize purse up for grabs, the Australian Open is the southern hemisphere’s biggest and most lucrative bowls event.
It will be staged from Sunday, February 16 to Thursday, February 20.
