Benalla riders win ribbons
Benalla riders took home a number of medals for the North Eastern Zone at the Pony Club Association of Victoria's recent State Championships.

All riders qualified for the championships’ team in a series of seven showjumping competitions over the past 12 months.
Benalla Pony Club members Alexandra Robinson, Sarah Osborne and Rebecca Robinson joined Wodonga Pony Club’s Maddison Connell to compete in B-grade showjumping, where they placed equal first but were awarded second place on a countback.
This continues a history of fantastic results, as Alexandra and Rebecca were part of the C-grade winning team in 2012.
Competing in the A-grade (individual) competition, Ryan Waddell placed third overall, with just enough time to make it back to Melbourne to begin studying medicine at Monash University.
Other outstanding results from the North Eastern zone include Emily Campbell, who was grade three overall dressage champion, and Kelsey Mull who was the C-grade overall showjumping champion.
Sportsmanship and camaraderie were on display at the State Championships, with riders showing wonderful support for each other throughout the weekend.
