The Northern Suburbs Street Rod Club (NSSR) and Yarrawonga Mulwala Tourism are gearing up for a fantastic 2013 Lake Mulwala Rod Run from November 8 to 10.
The club had previously organised the Rod Run in Bright for 22 years and have now brought the event to the beautiful shores of Lake Mulwala.
It will be an event for hot rod enthusiasts to showcase their cars to the general public and mix with other rod run enthusiasts from across Victoria and interstate.
There at 750 Hot Rods entered in this year’s event and with these vehicles Yarrawonga Mulwala is expected to see an influx of more than 3000 visitors to the towns for the weekend of Friday November 8 through to Sunday November 10.
Following a meet and greet and registrations for entrants on the Friday, spectators are invited to come and check out all the vehicles during a number of events over the weekend.
These events include;
Saturday 9 November:
· 12.00pm - Wooden boat display at the Yarrawonga Foreshore
· 2.00pm – 4.00pm - Go to Whoa at the old Netball Courts in Dunlop Street
· 4.00pm – 10.00pm - Belmore Street Cruise (Belmore Street will be closed to normal traffic between McNally and Piper Streets during these times).
Sunday 10 November:
· 9.00am – 2.00pm Show’n’Shine at the Yarrawonga Showgrounds along with a large variety market.
