Tatura Fire Brigade members check an electric pump after a fire.

Tatura Fire Brigade was called to a small fire at a Hampton Rd property this morning after the alarm was raised at 11 am.

The fire is believed to have started after an electric pump overheated, setting fire to nearby grass, leaves and twigs.

The area around the pump was relatively clear and the property owners were able to control the fire quickly, leaving the fire brigade to mop up.
