Police concern over thefts from vehicles

Tatura police are concerned over the number of thefts from vehicles recently.

Tatura police continue to be concerned at the number of thefts from motor vehicles in the town.

Sergeant Darryl Phillips said on Friday police received nine official reports between January 1 and 22, and they believe many have gone unreported.

The thefts have occurred in Brown St, Ross St, Maher St, Sommers Crt, Kerford St, Hastie St, Brookwater Crt, Trevaskis Dve and William St.

Sgt Phillips said the message is clear, secure your car at all times.

Anyone who may be able to assist police with their inquiries in relation to the theft is asked to contact the station on 5824 3099 or Crimestoppers on 1800 333 000.
