A community fundraising initiative to provide an additional wing at Moyola Lodge in Tatura will be launched tonight.
The new wing will see the facility increase from 30 beds to 43, fully utilising the land available at the corner of Hunter and Park Sts.
It will provide 13 spacious private rooms, complete with ensuite and individual heating and cooling control, plus communal lounges.
The additional wing will cater specifically for dementia and will include an area to enable residents to take secure garden walks.
