Window smashed in Benalla

A teenager who allegedly smashed a shop window in Benalla left a trail of blood down the street and was taken to hospital.

An 18-year-old who allegedly smashed a shop window in Benalla on Tuesday cut himself and left a trail of blood on the street before calling for help, police have said.

Benalla police Crime Investigation Unit Sergeant Shannon Murphy said police believed the teenager deliberately damaged the front window of a Bridge St business about 3.30 on Tuesday morning.
