Three cars collided at the intersection of Benalla Rd and the Shepparton-Euroa Rd at Shepparton East on Saturday.

The collision occurred just before 1.30pm and blocked one lane of the Midland Hwy for 45 minutes.

An Ambulance Victoria spokesman said a woman in her 40s, who was a front seat passenger in one of the vehicles, was transferred to Goulburn Valley Base Hospital with a laceration to the head, bruising, abrasions, and neck and leg soreness.

The spokesman said the woman was able to remove herself from the vehicle and was initially given treatment from a bystander.
