A woman was taken to Goulburn Valley Base Hospital following a two car collision on Wyndham St, Shepparton on Wednesday night.
Shepparton police Leading Senior Constable Garry Russell said a man was travelling north on Wyndham St when his car and the car travelling in front of him collided.
The man's car sustained significant damage and the driver of the other car was taken to hospital with back pain.
Leading Sen Const Russell said one northbound lane of Wyndham St was blocked while police cleared the scene.
The man's car was towed after recieving extensive damage.
