Two Finley men and a teenage boy have been arrested following an alleged home invasion at Tocumwal two weeks ago.

Deniliquin police Local Area Command Detective Inspector Peter Hayes said the trio was charged in relation to an incident at a Hill St home in the early hours of December 10. A man, 45, and woman, 44, were assaulted during the incident.

Det Insp Hayes said Victoria Police officers on Saturday arrested one of two people who allegedly entered the home.

He said the man, 22, appeared at Shepparton Magistrates’ Court yesterday and was extradited to NSW.

The man is facing charges of kidnapping/abduction, being armed with intent and common assault.

Det Insp Hayes said the man was last night being taken to Albury, where he was expected to be kept in custody overnight while charges were laid in the NSW jurisdiction.

Det Insp Hayes said NSW police arrested a second Finley man on Saturday and charged him with kidnapping/abduction, entering land with intent and driving under the influence of alcohol.

The man was remanded to appear at Albury Local Court on February 20.

Det Insp Hayes said a Finley boy, 17, was also arrested and charged in relation to the incident.
