Spot bats in Shepparton

A special tour of local bat hangouts will take place next week.

April 5, 2014 4:32am

Bat expert Robert Bender will teach residents about bats in Shepparton and discuss where they live, what they eat and how they find their way around in the dark.

Following the bat presentation at Greater Shepparton City Council’s boardroom, Mr Bender will take people along the shared path on the Goulburn River, spotting bats with bat spotlights and bat locaters.

The bat tour will begin at the council boardroom at 5pm on Wednesday, April 9, and will run until 7pm. The event is free. Participants are asked to wear sturdy shoes.
