SPC rejection anger

The Federal Government's decision to refuse SPC Ardmona a $25 million assistance package has been met with disappointment in the Goulburn Valley.

A storm of anger has greeted federal Cabinet’s refusal to help SPC Ardmona.

At the forefront of the dismay was Federal Member for Murray Sharman Stone, who said yesterday’s decision not to contribute $25million to upgrading the Shepparton factory had put the company’s future in doubt.

The company was seeking an additional $25million from the Victorian Government.
