Many of the changes were not included in the original list proposed following the release of the Victorian Speed Limit Review in 2012.
Changes already in place affect Numurkah Rd, Goulburn Valley Hwy north of Shepparton and the Shepparton Alternate Route.
VicRoads north-eastern regional director Bryan Sherritt said the outcome simplified the speed limit system, which included a reduction in the number of changes to speed limits along a length of road.

Once completed, the standardised speed zones would reduce driver confusion and make it easier for road users to comply with advised speed limits without compromising safety, he said.
