Shepparton was awash with AFL grand final celebrations on Saturday.
The Shepparton Baptist Church organised a match screening with half-time activities for children with money raised going towards the Beacon Community Connections programs.
Footy lovers packed in to Noble Monks to watch the final with many wearing their Hawks colours with pride.
Co-owner Sam Lagozzino said about 100 ‘‘pro-Hawk’’ people gathered to watch the game.
‘‘It was tense at times, but very exciting and we’re relieved,’’ he said.
‘‘It was a fantastic day, everyone had fun and we changed the menu to suit the football with hot dogs and pies.’’
Mr Lagozzino, a Hawthorn supporter, made a rule members of his bar staff couldn’t work unless they were wearing Hawks colours.
Hawthorn supporter Mikaila Hicks, 16, and her friends celebrated their team’s victory with a barbecue.
