Shepparton High School pays respects to popular teen

Shepparton High School has issued a statement regarding the death of Year 12 student Kellie-Ann Simpson.

On Sunday, March 17 we received the very sad news that Kellie-Ann Simpson of Year 12 had passed away due to complications that arose during routine day surgery.

Kellie-Ann was a very bright and bubbly student who will be fondly remembered for her cheeky sense of humour and her beaming smile.

She left quite an impression on the staff at Shepparton High and there has been a flow of fond memories from staff members both past and present.

Kellie-Ann was an organ donor and she was able to donate to at least six different recipients. This was an act of selflessness that really mirrored the generosity that she showed in life.

Our deepest sympathies go out to Kellie-Ann’s mother, Andrea, her sister Leah, boyfriend Lleyton, her family, friends and all of those who were fortunate enough to have met Kellie-Ann.

Grief counsellors have been on site to offer support to students and staff during the past week.

If you feel your child may be in need of this support then please contact Ashley Robinson or Rohan Lelliott at school and they will arrange an appointment, phone 58214322.

Debbie Oliver, Shepparton High School.
