A semi-trailer was damaged and ended up in a ditch after it collided with a telephone pole on the Goulburn Valley Hwy at Tallygaroopna

A truck crashed on Goulburn Valley Hwy at Tallygaroopna on Sunday night.

A semi-trailer ended up in a ditch after colliding with a telephone pole at Tallygaroopna on Sunday night.

The News understands the truck was travelling south on Goulburn Valley Hwy when it left the road and hit a telephone pole, which snapped, about 10.45pm. The truck travelled on for another 60m before coming to rest in a drainage ditch on the side of the road.

Shepparton police, Shepparton Search and Rescue, Tallygaroopna Country Fire Authority and Powercor attended the scene.

The reason for the collision is unknown.
