Police believe a prisoner who escaped from Dhurringile Prison last night could be heading for Shepparton.
Prisoner Jason Robinson left the prison grounds sometime between 5pm and 7pm last night. Police were notified and a search of the immediate area was conducted but Robinson has not been found.
He is 41 years old and described as Caucasian, 185cm tall with a thin build and brown hair.
He was last seen wearing green track pants, white t-shirt and possibly a blue or green jacket.
Dhurringile Prison is a minimum security prison for low risk offenders.
Anyone with any information about Jason Robinson whereabouts should call 000 immediately.
