Nathan Scott sentenced for nine years

Nathan Aaron Scott, 20, has been sentenced to nine years' jail with a non-parole period of six years for causing the death of Brea McLaren.

Nathan Aaron Scott will spend at least the next six years in jail after today being sentenced in Shepparton Supreme Court for causing the death of Brea McLaren.

Scott, 20, pleaded guilty to manslaughter and failing to stop after he hit Ms McLaren with his car while drunk the day before his 19th birthday last year.

He was sentenced to nine years’ jail with a non-parole period of six years.
