Much-loved policeman Frank Hogan dies
Tributes flow following death of Leading Senior Constable Frank Hogan from cancer.
By Kaitlin ThalsThe Goulburn Valley community is mourning the loss of policeman, clubman and all-round good bloke Frank Hogan, aged 56.
Yesterday, Mr Hogan’s friends and colleagues said they would remember him as a happy, jovial person who took his job seriously.
Mr Hogan was diagnosed with throat cancer in 2009 after a large tumour was found at the base of his tongue.
After a large dose of chemotherapy and radiation, by 2010 the tumour had gone.
However, by December 2011 doctors found secondary cancer spots in his lungs.
