Euroa police Senior Constable Craig Williams said the boy, 12, fell from a motorcycle while riding on his family’s farm yesterday morning.

Sen Const Williams said the boy made his way back to the house, where his family called an ambulance.

Ambulance Victoria spokesman John Mullen said paramedics treated the boy for head injuries at the scene and airlifted him to The Royal Children’s Hospital in a serious, but stable condition.

Sen Const Williams said the incident appeared to be an unfortunate accident.

‘‘He was wearing all the safety equipment, helmet, goggles, the lot,’’ he said.

‘‘He’s an experienced rider, he’s just unlucky.’’
