Man drives wrong way on Hume Hwy

Seymour police are asking anyone who witnessed a man driving the wrong way on the Hume Hwy to contact them.

Seymour police are appealing for witnesses after a man allegedly drove the wrong way on the Hume Hwy on the weekend.

The incident occurred along a 14km stretch of the Hume Hwy between Wandong and Wallan between about 1.15am to 1.45am on Saturday.

A 25-year-old Seymour man has been charged with traffic-related offences and will appear in Seymour Magistrates’ Court on May 15.

Police urge anyone who saw a vehicle driving into oncoming traffic on the Hume Highway to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or Seymour police station’s Senior Constable Wayne Mansell on 5735 0200.
