Man charged following Cobram indecent assault

Police have charged a Barooga man, 24, with indecent assault

Cobram Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a man following an appeal to the public for information after an indecent assault in Cobram on Monday. 

A girl, seven, had been shopping with her mother and sibling in a supermarket on Bank St, Cobram, when the assault occurred. 

A 24-year-old man has been charged with one count of indecent act with a child under 16. 

The man appeared in an out-of-sessions hearing overnight and remanded in custody to appear in Shepparton Magistrates Court today. 

Cobram police would like to thank the public for their overwhelming response to their inquiries.
