A man has been arrested and charged following an incident in Toolamba on Saturday morning where a firearm was allegedly discharged.
Police were called to Toolamba Fishing Club at Rutherford Rd after shots were fired about 1
Shepparton Crime Investigation Unit Detective Senior Constable Glenn Parmansche said a 47-year-old Tallarook man had been charged following the incident.
No-one was shot during the incident.
‘‘Police have arrested two males, one was taken to hospital with minor injuries,’’ Det Sen Const Parmansche said.
‘‘One male, a 47-year-old from Tallarook, was charged with reckless conduct endangering life, reckless conduct endangering serious injury and firearm off.’’
The man’s firearms licence was suspended following the incident and his firearms seized by police.
He was bailed to appear at Shepparton Magistrates’ Court on June 6.
The second man, in his 40s, was released without charge pending further inquiries.
