Garbage truck overturns on Shepparton-Euroa Rd

A driver is in a critical condition after a garbage truck overturned near Euroa this morning.

UPDATE, 2.51pm: A spokesperson from The Alfred in Melbourne has confirmed the driver was flown to the hospital today and is in a critical but stable condition.

9.03am: Emergency services are working to free a driver and the air ambulance has been called following a crash near Euroa this morning.

A garbage truck overturned on Shepparton-Euroa Rd just after 8am this morning, leaving rubbish strewn across the scene.

Shepparton-Euroa Rd is blocked south of Union Rd and traffic is being diverted.

Injuries are unknown at this stage but an air ambulance has been called to the scene.

Shepparton Search and Rescue, paramedics, Shepparton police Highway Patrol and the Country Fire Authority are on scene.
