UPDATE, 3.52pm: A medium-sized grassfire south of Euroa has been controlled, but roads will remain blocked for some time.
Residents at Gooram and Creightons Creek are advised smoke may be visible from a nearby bushfire contained earlier this afternoon.
Meanwhile, VicRoads advises the Hume Fwy is smoke affected between the Hume Hwy and Cooper St at Craigieburn.
Motorists are advised to drive carefully.
UPDATE, 2.50pm: The intersection of Mansfield-Euroa and Longwood-Mansfield Rds is closed while firefighters continue to battle an out-of-control grassfire south of Euroa.
Air support has been called in to help fight the blaze.
BREAKING, 2.33pm: About 70 firefighters are battling a grassfire that has broken out south of Euroa.
Eighteen Country Fire Authority vehicles have been called to the fire on Euroa-Mansfield Rd, about 6km from the town.
Another fire about 5km further along Euroa-Mansfield Rd has been controlled.
