An armed bandit robbed a fast-food restaurant at knife-point yesterday morning.

Police are appealing for information after an armed bandit robbed a Euroa fast-food restaurant at knife-point yesterday morning.

Victoria police Leading Senior Constable Julie-Anne Newman said detectives believed the man entered McDonald’s on Hume Fwy about 12.45am.

Ldg Sen Const Newman said the man made his way to the manager’s office before threatening a staff member with the knife.

She said the man then made off with an undisclosed amount of money.

Ldg Sen Const Newman said no-one was injured.

A McDonald’s spokeswoman said there were about 18 employees working at the time. She said the store was closed for a period of time and counselling would be offered to the workers.
