Euroa man found not guilty of rape
A jury has found in Euroa man Daniel Fletcher's favour on a rape charge, but found him guilty of an indecent act with a child under 16.
By Riahn SmithA 19-year-old Euroa man was yesterday found guilty of committing an indecent act with a child under 16.
The charge relates to an incident in Shepparton on May 21 last year where Daniel Richard Fletcher kissed, and touched the breasts of a 15-year-old girl.
Mr Fletcher, formerly of Sheoak Crt, Shepparton, was found not guilty on charges of false imprisonment and rape in Shepparton County Court.
He had pleaded not guilty to all charges.
The jury delivered its verdict yesterday after a day of deliberations.
Mr Fletcher was bailed and is expected to appear in court on Tuesday for sentencing.
