An elderly male was struck by a police vehicle while police were attending a domestic dispute in Kyabram overnight.
Kyabram police Senior Sergeant Peter Law said the lighting had been poor and the collision was being investigated by police at a local level.
"We can't rule anything out at this point in time and we are asking witnesses to come forward with any information about the incident," Sen Sgt Law said.
The elderly gentleman was taken to Bendigo hospital in a stable condition with non life-threatening injuries.
