By Kaitlin ThalsWell-known Nathalia artist Glenda Cornell has a diverse range of paintings on show at the Mooroopna Education Activity Centre Gallery.
The exhibition showcases a mixture of mediums including watercolour, pastel, oil and 3-D pieces, and will be on display until March 24.
Ms Cornell said the exhibition was made up of contemporary and realism paintings of wildlife, portraits and colourful scenery.
‘‘It’s a bit of everything, a snippet of what I do,’’ she said.
‘‘I love painting colourful market scenes and depicting wildlife interacting with each other and with people.’’
Ms Cornell has sold her work in local galleries and in Melbourne for more than 40 years, and has won more than 30 art award across the state.
She owns Cockatoo Island Art Retreat and Art Supplies in Nathalia, running workshops with art classes and teaching art across the Goulburn Valley.
She also works on commission, producing portraits, sculptures and murals for schools.
‘‘I love what I do, it’s a passion and you live it and breathe it, it gives me goosebumps when I talk about it’’ Ms Cornell said.
‘‘It’s actually the process and the journey that I enjoy most, and not just the finished product, you get a buzz from it.’’
The Mooroopna Education and Activity Centre Gallery updates its exhibition of local artists and school groups every six weeks.
